Transfer-based decoration
Create printed transfers for application to compatible products and surfaces. Start with the product, transfer size, artwork and expected production volume.
Evaluate the complete transfer workflow
A UV DTF printer produces a printed transfer before the graphic is applied to the final product. Buyers should review the complete process, including the stated films, ink configuration, bonding layer, curing, lamination and application method for the offered equipment.
Provide representative products for testing, especially when a surface is curved, textured, flexible or frequently handled. Follow the supplier’s approved application and assessment method rather than assuming every object will produce the same result.
Review more than the printer
The printing unit is one part of the process. Confirm which supporting stages and equipment are included in the proposed configuration.
Print system
Review the verified printing width, colour channels, print-head configuration, software and artwork requirements.
Film and finishing
Confirm the approved film system, lamination sequence, consumables and any separate supporting equipment.
Application method
Ask for the documented transfer procedure and a trial on the products you intend to decorate.
Test the process on your product
Prepare samples
Send target product photographs, material details and representative items.
Use real artwork
Include normal jobs and fine elements where they matter.
Apply the transfer
Use the supplier’s documented process on the intended surface.
Assess and record
Agree the test method and retain the configuration details.
UV DTF printer or direct flatbed printing?
UV DTF uses a transfer-based workflow. Direct flatbed printing places the compatible item on a flat working area and prints onto it. Choose by considering the product shape, print area, order mix, operator steps and required finish.
For direct-to-object requirements, review the Fairprint UV flatbed printer page.
Client verification before ordering
Ask for the final model specification, complete scope of supply, approved consumables, installation requirements, operator training, warranty and service terms.
Test the transfer on the intended product
Share target-product photographs, surface information, transfer dimensions and artwork for a technical discussion.
